ABOUT THIS SITE AND ITS CREATORS
I am Lena, and my brother is Rich. He is a talented draftsman; I am a retired teacher who is passionate about Braille! Everything in Braille! At the age of seventy-two (2022), I am learning to build a web site.
Which brings me to the purpose of this site: to share the wonderful Braille pictures which my brother and I have created together. We are pleased to include the patterns of others who are willing to share, too. Anyone who has a piece of paper, a braille slate, a stylus, and one of our patterns can draw something delightful to touch and beautiful to see.
In the coming months, we will offer instructions for drawing holiday designs, all fifty states, the Liberty Bell and much more.
This is very much a site in progress. As I learn new skills, the site will grow. (But before you send me a complaint, remember how one child’s dad lovingly described us: “Two old volunteers sharing a passion that lets me draw with my blind son.”) Please do report any errors which you find. Bear with me! The learning curve is like climbing K2!
If you’d like to get in touch, please use the CONTACT form. And visit the all patterns page often.
