OUR GROWTH

In 2026, we offer more than 700 patterns featuring the work of a dozen artists from around the world.

At the end of 2022, we offered 242 patterns, including the outlines of all 50 states.

ABOUT THIS SITE AND ITS CREATORS

I am Lena, and my brother is Rich. He is a talented draftsman; I am a retired teacher who is passionate about Braille! Everything in Braille! At the age of seventy-two (2022), I was learning to build a web site. And, in 2026, there is still plenty to learn.

Which brings me to the purpose of this site: to share the wonderful Braille pictures which my brother and I create together. We are pleased to include the patterns of others who are willing to share, and we feature the works of about a dozen braille artists. (Note: many incorrectly call dot art braille art.) Anyone who has a piece of paper, a braille slate, a stylus, and one of our patterns can draw something delightful to touch and beautiful to see.

This will always be very much a site in progress. As we learn new skills, the site will grow. (But before you send us a complaint, remember how one child’s dad lovingly described us: “Two old volunteers sharing a passion that lets me draw with my blind son.”)Bear with us! The learning curve is like climbing K2!
