Drawing notes;
The squirrel is facing to the left and is holding an acorn in his paws. The longer ears are representative of the various fox squirrels that have longer fur. This squirrel is a type of tree squirrel.
Fun Facts:
Squirrels are clever creatures and can learn to navigate numerous obstacles to find the most efficient route to food, they are also rather good at finding shortcuts. Squirrels can jump a distance of up to 20 feet. They have long, muscular hind legs and short front legs that work together to aid in leaping. There are over 280 species of squirrels. Squirrels are found on every continent except Antarctica and Australia. The largest is found in India, which can grow up to 3 feet long.
Fox squirrels are the largest and most colorful tree squirrels in North America. They have a wide range of fur colors, from buff to gray to black, and a long, bushy tail with black edges.

This Xerus is sitting upright and facing right with his tail curled up along his body and pointing left at the top. In his paws could be seeds, fruits, grains, or one of the many insects that they eat.
Fun Facts:
The Xerus is commonly known as the African ground squirrel and is native to Africa. They have a sandy brown or a dark brown color and white underparts. It is one of the most well-known animals for its long tail. The tail of a Xerus is normally 7.5-10.2 in (19.5-26 cm) long.
