Drawing Notes:
Our tree is bare as hardwoods are in the winter in the northern or southern areas of the world that have snow in the winter. Its third and eighth branches have been broken at one time and are shorter than they should be. The central top leader branch has also been broken, one of the two first branches will become dominate and shape the future of the tree.
There are ten main branches off each side of the tree. The seventh and tenth branches have further branched off giving the tree twelve tips.
This is a mirror style image, the first 15 cells in each row are in reverse order to create the last 15 cells.
This is known as the positive image of the tree or a silhouette. That is because the tree image is added to the page.

Drawing Notes:
Our tree is the same as tree-bare01 only drawn in reverse order of using the dots. This tree is a negative because the page is filled, the tree shape has been removed. This type of drawing reminds me of looking at a piece of film that has been developed. The dark areas are positive on the film but become the negative part of the picture when light is shined through it onto the paper.
If you are having trouble following the branches, draw tree-bare01 and they will be more distinct on the page.
